Ya think he'll be a distraction??? I don't think he's doing it for the money. ;) Probably just doing it to spend my time with his son. Which is cool because he does have a bit of a rep for being a prick around town.

GREENWOOD VILLAGE - Hall of Fame quarterback John Elway has signed on as the new quarterbacks coach at Cherry Creek High School, athletic director Randy McCall said Wednesday.

Surprising. He seems like someone who would give back to the community. However, I don't live in the same town as him so I certainly don't know the details.

Good for John Elway. What would be really surprising is if he sticks around after his son graduates.

I wish he could coach at my old high school.

I disagree that he has a reputation for being a "prick" around town. He has chosen to remain here after his football career ended and has had a few successful businesses, has remained accessible to fans, but has also remained pretty low key through it all.

Now is you said he has a reputation for enjoying a beer and the company of an attractive lady then I'd agree with you. When that becomes a sin we'll all be in hell soon enough.

I have friends who witnessed him being very arrogant in a local restaurant - that to me constitutes being a "prick."

Was it an isolated incident? Possibly.
