Is there an official/unofficial list of all team abbreviations somewhere in AGS?

I was just wondering if there was an official or unofficial list of FCS team abbreviations (e.g., ISUb = Indiana State, ISUr = Illinois State) in AGS somewhere. I tried a search, but did not have much luck. Any help is appreciated.

Never seen one. I just tried to pick it up from reading other conferences' threads. The ESPN ones are horrible when looking at their app for scores. Maybe we need one.

I don't think there is one because as long as I've been here this is the place that I have seen these used. I think it was just developed here but I have no idea if that thought is correct.

When I put together my Power BI report to compare team stats I did put together a list of all the teams with a "short name" that may or not be useful depending on what you're looking for. I tried to avoid ISU/MSU/etc where it could be ambiguous as to which one you meant so it's not true abbreviations in a lot of cases. I can share the xlsx I have it all in as well if you want. It's unofficial at best.

When it is not possible to use "PSU" for Portland State, it is common to use "PortSt" (drop the "land", no space and "St" for State). I've seen "PDXST" used but very seldom (and not recently). "PSU" or "PortSt" is most common.

Maybe it was here, maybe it was on another site. Some guy kept insisting that for St Thomas it was STU instead of UST. I kept telling him otherwise as I had worked summer camps there. I even posted the message from their sports information guy confirming use of UST. The guy still didn't buy it even after that.

I put one together. Some schools don't have abbreviations so they are listed as "n/a."

And some have unofficial Bison fan abbreviations - that would be anything in parentheses - for example, like Illinois State is officially "ISU" but Bison fans call them "ISU-Red" so the listing is "ISU (Red)".

PVAMU is a copyrighted brand of the school but we also refer to it as PVU or just simply PV.
