I know people will roll their eyes, but I would be 29-0 as opposed to 19-0 if I had remembered to make my picks during the first week. MVFC play is always wild so I'm sure I'll end up missing a bunch of those games. But for the most part picking losses to FBS and picking wins against FCS in the non-con are pretty safe picks for the MVFC. Almost everyone is 25-4 or better which is extremely good.

No eye rolls here. That is why I am posting Correct/Incorrect for picks made (and will start posting correct percentage in the near future). It will be hard to make-up those missed 10 missed picks, but perhaps you will be able to claim the moral victory of highest correct percentage at the end of the season. Glad to have you playing, and it should get interesting with conference play from here on out.

ISUr at SIU (-15.5 5 dimes) ... for you gambling types, this is low hanging fruit. Vegas has no idea how much we lost on defense and offense. The idea that SIU is just over 2 TD favorites at home this year .... just sayin.

Note, I didn't watch game last week at EIU - someone asked why we passed so little. Found out later our starting QB Bryce Jefferson went down with right shoulder sprain on first drive - he will miss a few games.

So here is our QB 3 deep now .. Pandemic FR, RS FR, true FR. We like our Pandemic FR Jackson Waring ... we think we like him and he may work out, though our history at QB is pretty bleak from HS recruiting and development standpoint. Jackson Waring was supposedly offered by SDSU, WIU, UNI, and had lot of interest from Iowa St ... but somehow, we got him. He is great physical specimen and fundamentally sound, but he came from small private HS .. big jump up. On the other hand, so did James Robinson and Anthony Warrum.

Defense remains a work in progress .. Spack will have that rebuilt by end of year. Offense ... no idea, ither than we like our RB group .. lot of talent. Now just need OL to get their ish together.

ISUr defense is back to its old self so far .. suffocating SIU after Q1. 14 plays for 37 yards, with 27 coming on 1 play, their only 1st down .. punted 4 times already. Not sure it will last for 4 qtrs, but Spack must not have been playing all his cards on defense against EIU.

Just blocked punt inside 10 to start Q2, but forced to settle for FG .. we lead 3-0.
