WILLIAMSBURG, Va. --- The Richmond women's golf team entered the season with its most experienced roster in years, but it was a pair of underclassmen who led the Spiders Sunday at the Kingsmill Intercollegiate in UR's first event of the 2021-22 campaign. Sophomore Rory Weinfurther, the reigning Patriot League individual champion, shot 75 (+3) in Round 1 on Sunday morning and 72 (E) in Round 2 on Sunday evening and is tied for 20th in the field of 79 at 147 (+3) through two rounds. Weinfurther played 21 holes before recording her first birdie on Sunday, finally breaking through on the par-4 9th hole in Round 2 and following it with another birdie on the par-4 10th. Bogeys on holes 12 and 2 dropped her back to an even-par 72, the low round of the day for Richmond.
