All of these traditional national powers have seen some hard times in recent years... but they won't stay down forever. Which of these schools do you see returning to national prominence the soonest...???

2... Penn State

Nebraska - huge resources, open offense, and a weak conference.

Alabama - Wont be long either, very tough conference but one that looks the other way when it comes to rules. Bama will be back if Shula can figure a few things out.

Notre Dame - I think they have the coach now. Throttle down the schedule a bit and they're back

Penn State - Big Ten meatgrinder will always be a problem as it was when they had great teams not too long ago.+ At least ND was smart enough to stay out.

Agreed. I stopped following them a few years after they joined the Big 10. They should be playing Pitt, Syracuse and WVU, not Indiana, Michigan St and Purdue!

How about Penn St and Notre Dame as a package deal to the Big East. The additions of PSU and ND would certainly help restore some of the luster to the conference. Makes sense... but won't happen.

Notre Dame & Penn State need to work out recruting.

Nebraska needs coaching, mainly on defense, and until Pederson wakes up and puts a college level coaching staff in place they will be lucky to contend with Iowa State.
