How ugly will JMU's opener get... Lock Haven opened their season yesterday with a come from behind... one point win over poor ole Cheyney...

Lock Haven 17, Cheyney 16 - Junior tailback Derek Marshall threw his first pass in the most crucial of situations - down six with less than two minutes left - hitting sophomore wideout Adam Lawrence in the end zone for the win at Cheyney University.

some AGSer's love to bash UD for their annual tilt vs DII West Chester... but West Chester (a DII semi finalist last year) sure ain't no Lock Haven.

The only fault one can find with scheduling West Chester is the basic fact they are Div. II. Plenty of I-AA mid-majors and others who would lose to West Chester.

Matthews has been clear in his philosophy that JMU does not want a tough OOC.

I figure JMU won't push the numbers farther than needed, and rotate a lot of players.
