LORMAN, Miss. - Football season is upon us, and supporters of the Alcorn State University Braves football team are primed and ready to flood Jack Spinks-Marino Casem Stadium at 6 p.m. on Saturday, September 11 to watch the Braves take on the Northwestern State Demons in their first home game of the 2021 campaign.Alcorn State encourages fans to follow all guidelines and looks forward to providing a great experience. Athletics appreciates feedback and are constantly reviewing how best to ensure a festive and safe game day.Alcorn State University Associate Athletic Director Temeka Samuels is thrilled to attend her first home football game since joining the department earlier this year."We are truly excited to welcome all of the faithful Braves supporters back to campus for our first home game this year," Samuels said. "Our game day team and staff have all been working strenuously to prepare the campus so our students, alumni, fans, and friends feel at home. We look forward to seeing the Brave Nation pack Spinks-Casem Stadium all year long!"TicketsPlease check your email for pre-purchased tickets. All pre-purchased tickets were sent out via email over the summer from Impact Tickets. All other tickets may be purchased online at www.impacttickets.com. ParkingFans planning to purchase campus parking on-site, the day of the game are reminded to have the correct funds readily available as they approach campus and to avoid prolonged conversation with parking attendants. This helps game day staff manage traffic on campus and reduces congestion.Media ParkingParking for media is in the rear of the Davey-Whitney Complex. Parking PassesGuests who purchased parking in advance are asked to have their pass clearly visible and displayed so the attendant may promptly direct you to the proper parking lot. Premium, VIP and Purple parking are sold out for the season. The owner of the parking pass will be able to show their ID at the gate to receive access to their designated lot.Be sure to read and follow the large, color-coded signs at the entrance to each respective parking lot. Fans who have purchased Reserved Premium parking, Reserved Tailgate parking, Purple parking, and VIP parking must park in their assigned and numbered parking spaces. It is important to make sure that you are in the correct lot and numbered parking space. RV Parking LotThe RV Reserved parking lot opens at 8:00 a.m. The lot allows for one RV per pass and comes with water and electrical hookups. Reserved RV customers are asked to please park in their numbered space. If traveling with a tow, it must be attached to the RV upon entering the lot. The RV Dry Camp Overflow is a general parking area and the same rules as the Reserved RV Lot apply. There are no water or electrical hookups in the RV Dry Camp Overflow lot. Mask MandatePer school policy, masks must be worn inside buildings, including the restroom and press box. Masks are not required for outside venues.ADA Needs/TransportParking for persons with disabilities in a vehicle that has an official tag or placard is limited. The Morris-Boykin Agriculture Sciences Building parking lot is designated for disabled parking overflow. Staff are available to assist disabled persons with cart transport to and from designated parking lot locations and stadium entrances before and after the game. Carts, routes and drop-off locations are identified with signage. Patience is requested due to the large number of requests and because carts travel at a slow rate of speed for safety. Carts will be available two hours prior to kickoff and one hour after the game ends.Clear-Bag PolicyAlcorn will allow small transparent clutch bags no larger than 4.5 inches x 6.5 inches and bags at a maximum of 12 inches x 6 inches x 12 inches or a one-gallon clear plastic freezer bag. Bags that are necessary for medical purposes are permitted but still subject to search. No other bags or purses, including diaper bags that are not clear, will be permitted.Prohibited bags include, but are not limited to, purses larger than a clutch bag, briefcases, backpacks, cinch bags, fanny packs that are not clear and/or exceed the size restriction, luggage of any kind, computer bags/cases, camera bags/cases, binocular bags/cases or any bag larger than the permissible size. All items, including clear bags and clutch purses, are subject to search at all gates. No items can be left or stored at the gates.Tobacco, Smoke, and Vape-Free CampusGuests are also reminded that Alcorn has declared all University property, facilities, and vehicles to be tobacco, smoke and vape free. This initiative has been implemented to promote and protect the health and wellness of all faculty, staff, students, alumni, and guests. Smoking and the promotion or use of tobacco products and vapes is prohibited outdoors on all Alcorn campus property including parking lots, paths, fields, recreational areas, stadiums, and personal vehicles while on campus.Sports Betting/WageringFans, boosters, and everyone in the college sports community must know that sports betting by those close to student-athletes can and will put universities and individual athletes at risk of violating NCAA rules. Alcorn's highest priority is to safeguard the wellbeing of our student-athletes and the integrity of intercollegiate competition. The continued cooperation and support of the Alcorn family helps all to compete at the highest levels of intercollegiate athletics. Additional InformationKeep in mind that no All-Terrain Vehicles (ATVs), drones, or artificial noisemakers are allowed on campus. The Follett Campus Bookstore will open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday. Bringing adequate cash for concessions purchases is encouraged. All other existing game-day rules and regulations remain in effect. Fans should stay tuned to the University website and Athletics website for any updates or changes. Re-entry is not allowed.
