Reading the fine print, it looks as if the current UTRGV students voted to assess fees to support the program on future students, but not on themselves.


"Current students who remain within the UTRGV established Guaranteed Tuition and Fees program will not have to pay the fee increase because of UTRGV's promise to never raise a student's tuition or fees during that period.

Which is exactly what we did with the expansion of the Lowman Student Center on the Sam Houston campus when I was a student.
