LORMAN, Miss. - The Alcorn State Braves would like to recognize and thank local first responders and military personnel through an exclusive ticket offer for the Northwestern State vs. Alcorn State football game on Saturday, September 11th. Free admission will be offered to first responders (i.e., law enforcement officers, firefighters, nurses, emergency medical technicians, etc.) and members of the military at the ticket gate by showing a current identification card and proof of service for the season home opener matchup. "First Responders and Military Appreciation Day is a great way to honor and connect with our local heroes on the 20th anniversary of 9/11 – one of the most tragic days in American history," said Alcorn State Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Derek Horne. "This gives us an opportunity to show our gratitude for their relentless commitment to serving others, especially for those showing selflessness amid the global coronavirus pandemic." Kickoff for the game begins at 6pm at Spinks-Casem Stadium. The Braves look to bounce back after falling 23-14 to North Carolina Central in the MEAC-SWAC Challenge to open the season in Atlanta during Week 0. Complimentary tickets given cannot be resold. Alcorn State University has a strict no reseller policy and may refuse purchase or cancel purchases in violation of this policy. Limit 1 per person.
