Sam Houston LB Trevor Williams is undersized but he is a tackling machine. Oh, and occasionally will take an interception to the house..xnodx

QB TRAE SELF didn't have eye opening numbers, but he was sitting at 78.2% completion percentage (18-23) on the last drive of the game for SFA before he threw 3 straight incompletions to end the game at 69%. He just didn't force anything and managed the game well.

I'm bored, so I will post power rankings for the AQ7 each week after the playing of the games.

After week 1:

1. Sam Houston - #1 until somebody knocks them off.
2. Central Arkansas - I love Schmid, but a healthy Breylin Smith is the most dangerous QB in the conference.
3. Northern Alabama - Played pretty well against a really good Southeastern Louisiana team.
4. Jacksonville State - Always have talent, but always disappoint.
5. Stephen F. Austin - Their trajectory is up.
6. Kennesaw State - Over-rated by most.
7. Eastern Kentucky - Barely squeaked out a win against a traditional doormat in Western Carolina.
8. Abilene Christian - I always predict they will make the leap...and I am always proven wrong.
9. Tarleton - Played SFA tough...will need some time...and HC Todd Whitten folds in the spotlight.
10. Dixie State - Not the worst.
11. Lamar - They won against something called North American University. Look respectable against a good FBS opponent in UTSA, and I will leap you into the middle of the pack.
