You write some great stuff, but I did come across a minor typo. In the WIU @ YSU recap you wrote "After a quick YSU interception, Connor Sampson threw a TD pass three plays later and suddenly SIU was within 7 at 35-28." Just thought you'd want to be aware.

I literally laughed out loud at the line "Then their offense just, like, stopped."

Also, with "Connor Sampson was a stud once again (I would love to see what he could do with a stronger supporting cast)."...I'd just love to see him do exactly what he's doing...no more...no less...but with an extra 100 or so yards on the ground by the RBs. The fact that he can do what he does with the opposing defenses knowing that 90% of what he's going to do is pass is amazing, but it'd be nice to take the pressure off him every now and then. Still, considering we averaged just over 56 ypg in the spring, what we're doing is at least a little bit of an improvement (89.3 ypg).

I totally agree with your analysis on Sampson. Defense knows they're gonna throw, and it just doesn't matter. The kid is talented.

Remove the horrendous YSU game and this is probably a top rush defense in the nation.

In your SDSU/Sac State write up, IMO, Sac State is a paper tiger. They didn't have EWU, Montana State or Weber on their schedule this year. With Davis back for SDSU, they are going to be hard to beat. IMO, they make it back to Frisco!

If the Bison play like they did against Youngstown and USD, they will boatrace SIU.

I agree with your NDSU/ETSU matchup score. Maybe not as big of margin but a comfortable win. NDSU's defense will sit back in their base Tampa-2 and play zone and see if the front 4 can get pressure on the QB. If not then more bodies will be sent for pressure. IMO, where the Bison have the biggest advantage is in the OL against their front 7 on defense. Small front 7 for ETSU is not a recipe for success against NDSU.

IMO, this will be a Colgate type playoff game the Bison had a few years ago. Maybe not a shutout but a game where the decision was not in doubt.

Is an All Valley FCS final a good thing? And is it a sign that the MVFC needs to look at going back to being FBS football conference? SDSU was barely above a .500 team in conference (this is not meant as a slight toward SDSU).

I sure enjoyed the 2014 championship game (NDSU vs Illinois State). Thought it was pretty exciting overall. I don't know what the TV ratings ended up being and how they compare to other FCS championship game ratings though.

Also, what do you mean "going back to being an FBS football conference"...we've never been a FBS football conference.
