Clay Buchholz pitched 6 innings allowing 4 runs (3 earned) while striking out 4.

The angels in the 4th inning got 4 singles in a row that managed to find holes... His control was suspect, but overall a strong performance for a major league debut.

Sox won 8-4 and there scurrying with roster moves between games of the double header.

Buchholz was sent down following the game and was expected to be replaced by Jacoby Ellsbury for the night game, that plan maybe off as the Sox had to rush AAA catcher Kevin Cash to a Ottawa airport hoping to get him to Boston before gametime because Doug Mirabelli suffered a leg injury in the first inning and Jason Varitek who was to catch the night cap had to come in.

If Mirabelli's injury isnt severe they likely wouldnt place him on the DL meaning the spot for Ellsbury would be needed for Cash.

Also Wily Mo Pena was traded to the Nationals before the game for cash considerations and a Player to be named to make room on the roster for Buchholz.
