Looks like they will finally get some updates at their stadium which hasn't really been updated since it was built... looks like they will get all new seating based on the picture, new turf, and some club/suite seating.

The project will include new seating, elevators, improvements to the entryways, and the addition of donor hospitality suites, club space, and premium seating. Renovations will also improve accessibility at the more than 50-year-old facility. ICCU’s investment will also fund a new and fully branded turf that meets the latest specifications and standards for performance and safety.
The timeline for the project is approximately two years. The turf is currently being designed and is expected to be installed prior to the Fall 2022 football season. The remainder of the renovations are expected to be completed in August 2023.

Yes, yes, please be true, I pray to the Almighty Yahweh that this is real. Dude, we need this, we need this type of over the top, completely stupid effort to bring life back into this world. Seriously, Idaho, do this, we need this, I have given up hope for humanity but this bring me back from the inferno. I might actually go to a game here just to say I saw it, in the flesh and lived to tell about it

STOP!!!!!!!
This is the Mini-Dome in Poky belonging to the Idaho STATE Bengals. The Vandals have nothing to do with this. As for the Inferno, that is EWU.

I was too busy cleaning the spouge off myself to correct the error.

I'm against all football fields that aren't green.
but the tiger stripe idea isn't any worse than Boise State or EWU or Central Arkansas

This is the best take. Just imagine, unlike EWU's outdoor red carpet, that field will never fade. This will look like a Halloween dare gone too far for decades.
The only thing that could make it better is if the team took the field wearing orange and black Zubaz uniforms.

Interesting, but I doubt it's as appealing or cost effective as my idea to flood Holt's turf with nacho cheese.

Why is it ridiculous? Look at the current seat color scheme.

I can’t imagine Boise State allowing another college, regardless of division, install a colored turf…especially given orange being one of BSUs colors.

Put nicely in this article/review - Boise only has the rights to blue. They "do not own every color":)

Yeah, if Boise State had some sort of trademark claim on any non-green colored field, I think we would have heard something when Eastern Washington did their red "Inferno", Central Arkansas did their grey and purple striped field, or Eastern Michigan put in their grey field.

Ya, that’s good to know. EWU did seek permission from BSU to use their intellectual property, but I had always heard BSUs claim to hold the rights over non-green may not hold up in court…the author of article seems to think that is not the case.

Yes, Boise only controls shades of blue. Coastal had to get clearance when they put in a teal field but orange/purple/polka dots, etc., are all fair game.

Ooooohhh. Polka dots would be cool! Or at least as cool as bright red. :D

If it isn't real grass anyway, what does it really matter?

I'd be interested to see someone do something similar to Oregon's basketball court (https://goducks.com/news/2010/11/5/205025431.aspx).
Like...for example...Montana having a stylized drawing of the nearby mountains or something...

(that probably doesn't fit within NCAA rules for what needs to be shown on the field though...but something like that)

it matters as much as kneeling during the national anthem (and people whine incessantly about that)

I'd stay away from these sorts of diversions going forward on the FCS board here Jay. Shaky territory and we know where it leads. Find a better example going forward.

Need an Alexander Shunnarah billboard field. Sure he would pay a huge advertising fee.
