Justin Ford was 4th - which is amazing - but could maybe mean him and O'Connell ate into each other's votes? I dunno, I don't have any real insight into the voters' psychology.

Isaiah Land will probably win because of his very impressive stat totals. But goodness was he trash against Southeastern Louisiana. I made sure to watch out for him to get a chance to see the guy who will probably win the award for best defensive player in the country. He literally did not record one meaningful statistic. Zero tackles, zero sacks. They weren't even giving him special attention most of the time. On rare occasions, a second guy would slide over, but most of the time it was just him against one of SELA's very burly linemen. How does the single best defensive player in the country get completely shutout in a playoff game? I reiterate, not a single tackle. Granted, I only saw one game, but from what I saw, I don't know if he'd even start for James Madison or NDSU, among other teams. Even Rudy managed to record an assisted tackle!! ;)
