FARGO, N.D. – Former North Dakota State University director of athletics Ade Sponberg passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 3. Sponberg was the Bison athletic director for 14 years from 1973 to 1986 and was inducted into the Bison Athletic Hall of Fame in 1996.
