This list isn't complete without the Angels and Red Sox on it. Neither team has a large enough lead or solid enough team to guarantee they'll hold off the A's/Yankees. This, to me, is the best part of the AL races, that anyone of these teams could win their division, take the WC, or miss entirely. As for the poll, I'd take the runner-up in the East. By which I mean the Red Sox :D

Chicago White Sox! They can still catch up to the '64 Phils if they try hard enough.

I have to agree with you ValleyRaider. I see both the A's and Yankees overtaking the Angels/Red Sox and the Red Sox edging out the Angels.

Well, I definately see the Yanks taking the East. I'm not sure about the A's having enough in the tank to overtake the Angels, but both should certainly be part of this discussion.

Yanks win the East. Cleveland wins the WC. As Matt says, Cleveland has the easiest schedule (being in the AL Central and all). :)

For anyone else having a slow day at work, you can keep tabs on the Phillies and Mets here - http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/gamecast?gameId=250901121
2-0 Phils after one half. David Bell actually has a clutch single with two outs and bases loaded...
(sorry, this should have been posted on the NL wildcard thread, my mistake)

I hope my A's win their division, this way they wont have to worry about the wild card. I hope Cleveland gets the Wild card, anyone but the Yankees
