William & Mary rising junior Jimmy Taylor (Alexandria, Va.) is having himself quite the week at the Virginia State Golf Association's State Amateur Championships this week, reaching the semifinals so far and in the hunt for medalist honors. The event, which is being held at the Country Club of Petersburg, featured two rounds of stroke play and a 32-player match-play bracket, with semifinals upcoming on Thursday afternoon and finals on Friday.
