NASHVILLE, Tenn. (May 21, 2021) – Tennessee State University could become the first historically-black institution to have varsity men's and women's ice hockey teams. A feasibility study is exploring the possibility that would also make the university the first in the state to establish a program in Tennessee. TSU, in partnership with the National Hockey League, Nashville Predators and College Hockey Inc., is hoping the study will be a favorable one, leading to the historic expansion of intercollegiate athletics.
