CB Ciarre Campbell, brother of Miami All America DE Calais Campbell, is transferring in from Colorado State. He'll be a Junior. His younger brother Severin Campbell is a Freshman Linebacker for the Griz. We recruited Ciarre hard in 2003 and offered him a full schollie. He was offered by Colorado State too and chose them.

Now we are back up to speed at CB with Vandenberg and Campbell.

Family fit for football
Miami Hurricanes defensive end Calais Campbell is one of five Campbell brothers from the Denver area playing college football.

Raj: Junior wide receiver, 23, graduated from Denver South High School and is attending Adams State after two stints at California junior colleges.

Ciarre: Junior cornerback, 22, graduated from Denver South and is attending Montana after transferring from Colorado State.

Calais: Redshirt junior, 20, all-ACC player at Miami and graduate of Denver South.

Severin: Redshirt freshman linebacker, 19, at Montana backing up two seniors after graduating from Golden High School.

Jared: Freshman safety, 17, above, graduated from Overland High School and is playing with Calais at Miami. Chose the Hurricanes over Washington.

Congrats on landing that kid, he sounds like a stud. Even with the losses you suffered, UM was still able to reload. I hope my boys can have that kind of success finding stud DB's for next year, we're taking a huge hit in the defensive backfield.

Yes, many were worried with the loss of Wilson and Freeman. A once deep position for 2007 became suddenly thin. These two kids makes us three deep there again with Jackson, Parks, Vandenberg, Campbell, Clark, Pate, and Dwyer. We also have highly touted true freshman Jamain Olsen who turned down a schollie from Hawaii to be a Griz. I'd like to see him redshirt. If the Coaches don't redshirt him then he must be really good and they think he's ready to go. Unless he can get to #2 on the depth chart I'd say redshirt him.
