To quote the Phranchise, kadoos to Seth Morgan and Scott Wachenheim on making the list. Saw Quay Holmes on the list, which is awesome. Didn't see Reese Udinski on there, he had a certified stud season before his injury.

Well deserved. Any other choice would have been a crime. Congrats to Keydet Nation! Now, just hang on to him.

Well deserved for Coach Wachenheim. It's interesting to note that it wasn't an overnight turnaround - it seemed like it was year four or five before he started making much headway, but really ended up changing the culture there. Most schools wouldn't have given him the time to do that, and he'd have been out the door year 3 or 4. I imagine he'll remember that before he jumps ship to go somewhere else.

With some coaches you have to give them time. Others, not so much. Also, at the FCS level, you tend not to have as many big money boosters who have a say in the program. At schools like Texas, Alabama, Tennessee, Oklahoma, etc., there are many big money boosters who can force a head coach out, similar to what we just saw at Texas. Tom Herman was fired because the boosters lost faith in him. It took Mack Brown eight seasons to finally win a Big 12 title, but he had made the championship game twice previously before winning it, and he was winning 10+ games a season, which kept the Texas boosters happy.

What makes his success even more amazing is that he's got his back against the wall with recruiting as you're having to sell 17-19 year old males to come play at a military college where they have to commit to 4-5 years of military schooling/structure. While they don't have to commit to the Military post graduation unlike FBS Navy, Army & Air Force, it's a tough sell for a coach. The fact that he's had that kind of success in a pandemic he's definitely going to be hard to keep away from the bigger FCS/FBS programs.

He recruited 5 star players!I don't think any of them played this year, when he wins the award next year and the year after, they will just name the award after him.
