NDSU's No. 16 national ranking is powered by four different Bison women who currently rank among the top five in the NCAA in the throwing events. Maddy Nilles (hammer throw) and Akealy Moton (shot put) both stand at No. 3 on the national performance list, and Shelby Gunnells (shot put) and Kari Wolfe (javelin) are both fifth in the country.
