Well at least Monmouth is ahead of Kennesaw, but I think you have to drop the lil darlins further down

Exact placements need some work. But...
- their top 5 is the same 5 teams as in my poll.
- their top 10 is the same 10 teams as in my poll.
- their top 15 is the same 15 teams as in my poll.
- 23 of their top 25 were in my top 25 this week.

Those numbers are very close what the AGS poll does on a weekly basis. The STATS poll is getting better overall as the games play out.

JMU, Weber, and Richmond too high.... Sam Houston too low. Other than that it's not that bad IMO.

Overall not that bad. I don't really get the Richmond hype (we will see if they're legit Saturday). I also don't understand how Nicholls is still ranked, especially at 21.

That's the big head scratcher for me, too. Their other top 25 not in my top 25 is among those I considered for the last few spots.

They're easily a top 25 team, better than a lot of teams ahead of them.

They are 4-3 with one win over a D2 team. They only have one “quality win” and that’s against current #25 UIW. That doesn’t sound like a top 25 team. I get that this year there aren’t many dominant teams but they have a mediocre resume and a terrible defense.

Sam Houston is probably where they should be, seeing as how they'll get bounced from the playoffs as soon as they face a team who can play defense.

I have them in my top 25; however, "easily" is a relative term. "Better than a lot of teams ahead of them", I am not so sure either. I suspect that depends on your perception of the Southland Conference.

Offensive talent seems limitless, but likely a combination between that and lack of defensive emphasis in the conference (or at least the outside appearance that defense in the conference is generally weak/unimportant). One could argue that offensive talent abounds, but until that is proven in the playoff setting against teams outside of the Southland Conference on a somewhat regular basis, one will always question the overall talent or placement of such a team. Furthermore, even if they score a lot of points, it is unclear whether or not they could hold the teams above them to less points. Nicholls could win an opening round game, but beyond that, I just don't see it, at least this year.

Oh, forgot to add, that is my opinion. ;)

Agreed. Mine is
1.NDSU
2.SDSU
3.SHSU
4.Weber
5.JMU

if NDSU beats SDSU by more than 2 scores I’d put SH at 2 and NDSU at 1. I truly believe JMU is going to get beat Saturday if they play Richmond.
