Towson, Md. – Freshman infielder Jared Sprague-Lott (Philadelphia, Pa.) hit his first career homer as the Spiders ran away with the final game of the three-game set with the Towson Tigers, 14-6 Sunday afternoon. After giving up five runs in the first inning, Spider pitching settled in, not allowing a run until the bottom of the ninth to earn the convincing win. Spider pitching was dominant in the middle portion of the contest, not allowing a runner past second base from the second inning through the eighth inning. Richmond improves to 14-6 on the season, while Towson falls to 10-21 in the loss.
