If Demons do pull off the upset this weekend, Kats will win SLC title outright because Nicholls, SE La and UIW would all have 2 conference losses. If this happens does the SHSU / UIW game get cancelled? Wouldnt be any reason to play at that point.

I think there was some manner of construction in the area last time I went to Bowers, also. Their frequent upgrades may be part of why they were able to get into the WAC :p

The upgrades were a project that started several years ago and will eventually include a new press box. Items already completed are the new field and score board. The goal of all the Texas teams joining the WAC is a move within 10 years to move up to FBS.

This guy walked into a group of our players who were taking pictures with the River Bell trophy at midfield and jumped one of our guys. Its all documented. He’s lucky police were right there to arrest him.

We definitely have an outside shot (with a win next week). Maybe better than an outside shot. We played UIW without nine starters and are just now getting back to health and playing our best football of the year.

Its a tricky call on this. Kats cant afford to sit too many starters and lose this game because they then would run the risk of losing a Top 4 seed. You know it would happen if they lose this game. Plus, the team has been struggling through some injury issues the last two weeks, especially along the offensive line. Two starting WR's Ezzard and Harvin have been battling some nagging injuries as well.

However, I could see Keeler playing his starters at least the first half and see where they are at by halftime. If Kats can jump on them early and build a nice lead, I see KCK pulling his key starters.

Aside from the Lamar game NWST has been a very competitive team, I think they have gotten better each week. Those guys are a good football team, and right now, aside from us, probably the last team in the conference you want to play. What they did to us was no fluke. Tons of pressure, physical team, and well coached.

That being said, we in Poke Nation are very proud of the team and coaching staff. Other than the UIW game they were in every contest and had opportunities to win them all. Looking forward to what the fall brings.

Or if the tight end did not drop the wide open pass in the endzone, or if Walker had been successful from inside the 5 yd line and not tried to toss the ball forward, or a questionable call on the Begue catch at the goal line. Plenty of opportunities but considering what was on the O-line Saturday (and it was decimated as evidenced by the complete lack of a running game - no slight to the Kat D line which is very good) the effort was there. woulda, shoulda, coulda don't get it done xlolx. There were similar chances in the Lamar and SLU game but oh well.
