I think I've seen a thread for these around here somewhere, but I can't find it now. Just thought I'd post a few of my own. Looking at them seems to help pass the time during these summer days while waiting for September.

FlameFans tailgates at all of our games. The spring game we got there about 5-6 hours before the game started. In case you're wondering, the game with the PVC pipe is hillbilly golf. I think we may add a corn hole set for next year. Anyone playing at LU this year is invited to tailgate with us, only thing is, we don't drink the same type of drinks that you may be accustomed to.

I've heard of people drinking a little before games but it's hidden very very well. I settle for Dr. Pepper.
At the spring game we had probably 40-50 people stop by all together, including our AD, two or three members of the Athletic Department, and a couple football staff members. Our AD along with a few assistant AD's are locks to stop by before games. They always come by, ask how we're doing, thank us for being there, and occasionally get some food off of us. FlameFans.com is an official member of the Flames Club (our booster club) so we get to tailgate in the lot designated for Flames Club members closest to the stadium. Because we get there so early, we're the 2nd group you see as you come in, next to one of our players' dads and his family.

Nice pics SuperJon. Good looking website too.
We have to drink our gentlemen's beverages from plastic cups at Furman too. It's tough right now to get FU fans hardcore into tailgating, but small groups of us seem to be trying pretty hard.

In this (http://inlinethumb37.webshots.com/3556/2222361250098366090S500x500Q85.jpg) picture, the back two compartments hold tables and chairs. I'm also going to mount a marine battery in there sometime soon. Just in front of that part is the grill (a Weber Q) on a shelf that slides out over the wheel of the trailer. In front of the grill is the tv compartment that holds a small lcd tv and a PS2. It's getting a little renovation for this year. The front of the comparment folds down into a table.
In this (http://inlinethumb34.webshots.com/5921/2089397240098366090S500x500Q85.jpg) picture, the front compartment holds a cooler. The spot behind the cooler holds 2 plastic containers for food, utensils, that sort of thing. The center of the trailer holds the tent, running long-ways up the middle. Above the tent compartment is a shelf that you can't see in these pics that holds the mount for the 21' flagpole and the smaller flag.
That's about it. I have some other plans for it, but they're top secret at the moment.

Generators are great because of the amount of power they provide, but they're so noisy unless you get one of the nice, super-expensive Hondas. A marine battery with a charger is a good alternative. Easiest is just to hook an inverter to your car battery. That'll run a tv and PS2 no problem.

How much we talkin? I found some for like 99 bucks (12 volt, 55 amp). Would that be big enough? I'm trying to decide if that'd be worth it or not, because then I'd have to buy the new college football game, and a new controller too. If I got someone to split it with me, it wouldn't be too awfully bad.
Haha, I should steal the one off of the camper here at home. Don't think my parents would like that though.

ashram,
Awesome work on the trailer. I would love to come by and take a closer look in October. I will definitely be at that game. Family battle lines are drawn for one weekend a year and this is it. Can you tell me a little more about the trailer itself? Is it just a flat trailer that you built onto?

Thanks very much, and feel free to stop by in October for a cold one or two. If you go in the back gate at Furman you can't miss us.
The trailer is a standard utility trailer with removable sides that I got at Home Depot. The part that I built can actually just be lifted off so that the trailer can be used for other things as well.

You may think us folk at CSU mirror the boys at Liberty tailgating with Pepsi and sweet tea but you would be wrong. We have a ball at CSU tailgating just ask LBPop. He came down from Georgetown and could not believe the tailgating we do. Said we really knew how to throw a pregame tailgate party. This practice is relatively new since nobody really came to the games til Jay Mills got there. Now the grass area across from the stadium is filled dang near to capacity and the tailgating is great. If I can dig up some pics from last year I will post.
I expect to share some fun with my CCU and Liberty buddies when they come to town this year.

We have more fun than most schools do, and we do it sober. We can remember what we did and why we did it the next day. When you're not intoxicated, you've got to be more creative in what you do. That's us.

The only photo I have of the U of M vs UMass tailgating scene.
This photo pretty much sums up the tailgating scene for a Griz game. Packed - and this was taken from the far end of the tailgating area.
By the way, there is a road right behind those guys, so that is why there is a gap.

Of the thousands of pictures of McNeese tailgating that I have taken and put up on Doc's Shots at Geauxcowboys.com (http://www.geauxcowboys.com), this is one of my favorites even though it is an old photo taken with my old 1 megapixel Sony camera.
Can any of you guys think of a good caption? A couple I've thought of is "Bare bones tailgating" and "Don't want to overload that generator".
