He was a whiner. He showed his true character when he ran his mouth. He may have quit because the coaches did indeed pick on his arrogance and promptly put him lower on the depth chart.

I would have done the same, IF that would have been me as the coach.

I always find it hard to understand how a kid can do that. Frankly, I can't help but think there is more to the story than we'll ever know (or have confirmed).
