Sounds like they are dropping out with only 49 players still healthy on their roster per Sam Herder.

????

You're adding 2+2 and getting 37. Besides COVID protocols -- which we know dramatically reduce roster numbers -- , the "49 healthy players" is simply for Saturday. If you lose 30 guys to contact tracing and have 20 sprained ankles/hamstrings/turf toe, that's nearly half the roster right there. Besides that, a season-ending injury could be a months-long injury or, at this point in the year, it could be one that knocks a kid out for 3-4 weeks.

Yeah, when you have back to back games giving up 73 and 62 points respectively, you probably lose the determination to keep playing.

I think as more teams suffer injuries, COVID outbreaks and fall out of the playoff picture there will be more teams opting out.

The spring season was always a bad idea but unless the NCAA ends the season a lot of schools will try to win the spring title.

Agreed, If it was such a great idea, why didn't we see B1G or Acc or SEC do it?
