There's a guy I work with sometimes that used to be a high school assistant coach and now has a little league football team. A few weeks ago I was out on a boat with him and telling him about how neat and effective Georgia Southern's offense is.

Today he told me he went on the internet and looked up stuff on it and the Georgia Southern offense. He taught some plays to his little league team. He said he used it in a scrimmage against another team and it worked great. Said the other coach was freaking out and couldn't get his players to understand what to do to respond.

Only thing is he has to change quarterbacks because his regular starter can't execute the pitch. He's got a guy that can do it though.

An option offense that is run right will rule in youth football because the most effective way to defend the option is through assignment football, which young kids would have trouble with.
