DURHAM, N.C. – North Carolina Central University football student-athlete Jessie Malit has been selected as one of the 2021-22 Newman Civic Fellows. Jessie was identified by the Office of Community Engagement and Service for his work with the E.A.G.L.E.S. (Educated Actions Generate Lifelong Empowerment & Success) Vote initiative and the March to the Polls event, and was then nominated by NCCU Chancellor Johnson O. Akinleye.
