Hey, it's getting better at least. Last week they had NDSU 5 spots ahead of SIU and UNI was ahead of SDSU.

SHSU is criminally underrated! That win over Nicholls (granted I know it's spring football) is one of the craziest I've seen in 20+ years of following FCS at a national level.
Holy Cross should at least be receiving votes. They're not flashy but they are VERY well coached. That and a very sound defense could make them a tough out in the playoffs.

Sam Houston State - my apologies...you deserve much better.
Delaware - best team in the CAA, and 12 spots behind the third best?
Virginia Military Institute - congratulations on being ranked AND beating Furman
Furman - congratulations on your reputation alone carrying you into the top 15.
Southeastern Louisiana - after seeing Sam Houston State this weekend, it appears you are being shafted by pollsters.

Probably both. I agree, MVFC order is not right, but I might argue that the order of the CAA or SoCon teams is atrocious compared to the MVFC order. That is why I did not make such a big deal about it, but I do agree with you that NDSU is too high over some well-deserving teams (at least at this point in the season).

Put-em both in. It's not like there is any clear justification for the last 7-8 teams in any one of the polls so far this year.. If they lose this upcoming weekend, take-em out.

Is SHSU criminally underrated or is Nicholls criminally overrated? I've got the Cross in the Top 25, As has been mentioned elsewhere here, you're giving anyone ranked like 17-25 the benefit of the doubt - why not the Cross?

Then I gotta decide who to take out. I pretty much have 26 teams at this point and not sure who I would remove to put them both in. My thinking is since they’re the only 2 I haven’t got to watch I’m including the “knowns” and adding 1 of the “unknowns.”

Actually the combined records of JMU's three opponents so far is 1-6. But your point is well taken - JMU's performance so far this year certainly does not warrant the #1 ranking.

Albany out
Monmouth?
Albany deserves one more week and a shot at reaching 2-1 before being dumped from the Top 25. Ask any CAA coach how tough it is to play back to back games away at New Hampshire and Maine, they won one and lost the second going down to the last play of the game in both. Drop UNH before Albany, it really makes no difference anyway. If we pull an upset vs your Hens this week we are a solid ranked team, if we lose we will, and should, be off the Top 25 radar for the season unless we manage to win our remaining 4 games.
Since Monmouth hasn't played yet do what you will with them. But as we all agreed, the last 7-8 slots could easily be just a roll of the dice or a flip of the coin decision. I assume they are getting some traction because for some reason they were selected the Big South #1 preseason over Kennesaw.

No problem correcting my post, although I don't think it changes the main point i made about keeping Albany ranked. The good news for you guys is that Maine made the plays you needed to win when it counted, UNH didn't.
Maine's turn around was so huge week one to week two that it made it difficult to know exactly what to make of the Black Bears. it If makes any difference I had Maine in my Top 25 preseason. Right now the only team in the CAA North that has really distinguished itself from the crowd is Delaware. I do believe other teams will end up good enough to be playoff contenders; however, exactly witch teams remains to be determined. We are a couple of conference games behind several other FCS conferences where the conference standings are more sorted out and it is a little easier to rank the teams.

Regarding the CAA North....
Delaware is a Top 10 team plain and simple.
UNH should remain in the Top 25 and move up if they beat Delaware. It would be a HUGE win.
Albany vs. URI......If Albany loses this one at home......they are toast. URI should move into the Top 25 if they beat Albany on the road.
Maine vs. Stony Brook.....This is a survival game for Stony Brook. For Maine....they can really advance their cause with a road win here. A Maine loss would relegate them to a spoiler vs. the rest of their schedule.
Villanova.....thye have a bye week to stew over the their "shocking" loss to URI. I'm not sold on them but they still deserve to be ranked.....especially if URI pulls off another win this week.
My current order of CAA North is:
1. Delaware
2. URI
3. Villanova
4. Maine
5. Albany
6. UNH
7. Stony Brook
