PA State Athletic Conference.... coaches strike has been averted...

It appears that a strike by coaches at Pennsylvania's 14 state-owned universities has been averted, just days before the first games of the fall season. However, the impasse isn't officially over yet.The union representing non-faculty coaches who compete in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference yesterday accepted a state mediator's proposal to settle a labor dispute that has threatened to disrupt the fall sports season.

Numerous early season 1AA games vs those PA schools could have been effected if a strike had occurred.
