Because of the incessant demand on this board for more of my genius. I have decided to grace the unwashed masses with my wisdom.

1. Sam Houston is the best team in the country. This is not exactly going out on a limb, but that 71 point show of force was easily the best performance of the spring by any team.
2. Delaware will win the CAA. I have been waiting for the Fightin' Blue Hens to break out under the leadership of Danny Rocco for a while, and it is happening. Delaware will win their first CAA title since 2010.
3. North Dakota State is a terrible football team. This is common knowledge. I just can't help myself.
4. VMI is the most underrated team in the country. These guys are dangerous. I have a feeling they will make some noise in the Playoffs. Perhaps a first round victory against James Madison is on the cards.
5. North Dakota is the most overrated team in the country. Yeah I said it. Deal with it.

The top 5 players of the Spring Season so far.
1. Eric Schmid, Sam Houston, QB: 46/72 794 yards, 8 TDs, 2 int. Passed over 400 yards in 4 of 7 career starts. That'll do pig.
2. Otis Weah, North Dakota, RB: 63 carries, 441 yards, 6 TDs. The heart and soul of this team.
3. Jaleel McLaughlin, Youngstown State, RB: 69 carries 309 yards, 4 TDs. two time finalist for the Harlon Hill trophy in Division 2. Stud
4. Lindsey Scott Jr., Nicholls State, QB: 63/103 870 yards, 9 TDs, 2 ints, 45 carries 249 yards, 4TDs.
5. Jonathan Murphy, Kennesaw State, QB: 4/6 108 yards 2 TDs, 31 attempts 127 yards 2 TDs. The breakout player of the 2019 postseason. 393.4 QB rating vs Charleston Southern.

I learned about Rocco from his days at Liberty in the Big South. He was before KSU's time, but he literally built the Flames program from the ground up. I did not know about Manny Rojas. That makes a lot of sense. The Delaware defense has been lights out this season. I do not want the Owls to meet the Blue Hens in the Playoffs. No thank you.

Defense could be even better if Colby Reeder can come back.... Delaware has taken Maine and Stony right out of the game from the get go with the Defense and Stony also had massive penalties and the starting QB went down early, I was surprised Maine was able to bounce back and beat Albany ... CAA not good right now....

Sure, the Bearkats looked mighty good against a top 10 team. The question is "should Nicholls have been ranked that high?" Their ranking is in large part based on reputation from the last couple of years. They hadn't played anybody this season until Sam Houston. I've seen too many Keeler teams spit the bit when the pressure of a high ranking is lingering in the locker room. Lamar in Beaumont is a trap game. But I will say this: This team feels different that some of those in the past. They are playing free and with confidence. They are deep at the skill positions, and have a beast of a run defense. The front four can get to the QB without blitzing. The key is for Schmid to stay healthy.

True, I wouldnt go out on a limb and say they are the best team in the country just yet, but I would say they should be top 5. The overpowering performance last week vs Nicholls was very impressive for sure. My main concern with this team is if Schmid can stay healthy. He has been hurt the last two seasons, but he has shown when he is healthy, this offense can and will move the ball.

However, I do agree this team has a different feel . And the reason I say that is because they are VERY deep at almost every position on the field. I know entering the season the OL was the main concern with only one starter returning. But, I think this group is showing early how good they truly can be. This has to be the largest OL ( avg 6-4, 311) that Sam Houston has had as a group that I can remember in recent memory. Plus they have shown they can go two deep and not lose a step.

I will be interested to see how they respond on their first road trip of the season. Fortunately Lamar is only about an hour and half to two hours max away from Huntsville, so the bus ride will not be far.

The Chattown guy and Bison 4 Life were two of the reasons why I came to this board because I was itching to rip on these guys and now they are gone. I lurked this site for a few years before I joined, I can't believe these two guys robbed me of my opportunity to bash them.

TheFan had the best AGS meltdown I've ever seen around Thanksgiving 2011 IIRC. He was a Lehigh/Princeton fan who was incredulous about the lack of respect Lehigh was getting in 2011 as the playoffs were starting. Don't remember what set him off in particular around that time but he was threatening litigation against multiple posters and AGS as a whole. "ASSETS ARE BEING FROZEN AS WE SPEAK!!!!" Sadly I think the main meltdown thread was accidentally deleted so it only lives on in our memories.

Pretty sure he was one of the reincarnations of TheFan like Bisonoline mentioned. I believe he was posting personal information of some posters here without consent which got him a pretty quick ban hammer... there aren't many rules you can break here that get you immediately booted but that's one of them.

He definitely did some damage on my perception of the intelligence of Princeton grads.
