A team that returned many players from 2006 is at it again. They won the State Division B title and now face Manchester for the State title. Much like last year they have decimated the opposition allowing just 6 runs while scoring nearly 90.

Portsmouth became the first New Hampshire repeat champions since the late 70s shutting out Manchester today. They went 9-0 in the state tournament and should be heavy favorites for the New England title.

Portsmouth along with Conn and Massachusetts wrapped up pool play with 3-1 records. NH gets the 2 seed in the semis and will play its victim from tonite Massachusetts again tomorrow when their ace is on the mound.
In 4 games NH has hit 9 homeruns including Connor McCauley having three, one each in the past three games. K. Leonard also has three.
Top seed Connecticut who won an extra inning game against New Hampshire faces Maine who was the only team to defeat them in the other semi final... the winners face off Saturday for the New England title and a trip to Williamsport
