A few weeks ago I reported on our local track star--17 year old girl who has run the third fastest 800 meter for high schoolers in US track history. This past weekend she represented US in the World Youth Track Championships in Czechoslavakia and was leading with 100 meters to go when she got pushed from behind. Stumbling, she caught herself, but couldn't recover. One of the contestants was DQ'd but it doesn't help. Still Chantelle took it in stride (no pun intended ;) ) and said they she was told to expect pushing and shoving in international track...and chalked it up to a learning experience. Even with the stumble she finished in 2:05. Big things in the future.xnodx
