VMI finished its athletics annual giving (ended 6/30/07) up 18% over last year to $3,280,430.

VMI has a lot of respect for the Patriot League and its educational institutions, just wish the conference was a bit closer to VA. I think VMI plays Lehigh this year on the road. VMI lost to Lehigh by a couple of points a couple of years ago when our qb threw an interception which if completed to the right player would have set up a potential winning field goal.

I've always had respect for VMI's athletic dept. (and other service academies of course), it just can't be an easy sell. I'd assume some recruits specifically want to go there because of the discipline, but I'd imagine they are a minority. Congrats on the $$.

Will Citadel continue to play VMI even though they are now OOC?
