Tiger's agent Mark Steinberg says Tiger has suffered "multiple leg injuries" and is in surgery.

He was extracted after a vehicle rollover with the jaws of life.

From the LA County Sheriff press conference:- Tiger was found stable and conscious - He was wearing a seatbelt - He remained "calm & lucid" - No evidence of impairment- He was unable to stand under his own power- No update on his condition

Having watched auto racing my whole life Tiger's leg injuries remind me of a lot of serious open wheel (F1/IndyCar) incidents back in the day that caused shattered ankles/legs. Not sure if he'll ever be able to play competitive golf again but at this point that's not all that important. Hopefully he can enjoy life and his kids after what will be a brutal rehab....

There's hope for Tiger. 1949 Ben Hogan and his wife were hit head on by a Greyhound bus. Hogan had a broken pelvis, ankle, clavicle and chipped rib. In 1953 he won 3 majors at age 40.

Multiple tib-fib fractures. Multiple open fractures. Compression syndrome. Shattered ankle. All on the lower right leg. Surgeons inserted a rod to stabilize the tibia, pins and screws to stabilize the ankle, and made cuts in the muscular sheath to relieve the pressure in the muscles. Long road ahead.
