Detroits manager SUCKS! Okajima should have pitched the 8th not Papelbon. It was likely a once in a lifetime oportunity for him and having been voted in by almost 5 million fans is a disgrace he didnt get to pitch.

Leyland is spreading it around...
The reps from the White Sox, Royals, Rangers and Blue Jays did not get in...

Check that Rios (TOR) got in for the last batter...what a shame

Ballgame AL.

You gotta think Krod would have gotten a lot of grief from his teammates when the Angels had to go on the road for Game 1 of the World Series if he had blown it.

Leyland got 27 guys in, Larussa 28. That's pretty good for a nine inning game.

I do not want to see a game where they give pitchers a 1/3 inning appearance. It takes 3 1/2 hours as is...

As I look at it, how could a manager get 12 pitchers into the game? I guess this way they could go 12 innings without needing a tie...

Or one could say that Okajima and Papelbon shoulda pitched the 8th and 9th to secure home field for the Red Sox in the Series :D

I another thread we were discussing the best rivalries in baseball. In San Francisco everybody was cheered as they were introduced except the 3 Dodger players. They were booed. I am a Dodger fan and I loved it.

Don't assume the Angels will be in the world series just yet. xnonox xrulesx

Great dramatic finish, but why not send up Pujols for Rowand with two out bases loaded in the ninth. Rowand is a nice player and all, but he's not Pujols.

Me too. I told my wife as a Dodger fan I'd boo the Giants too. One year the NL will pull one out. Great representation by Carl Crawford of the Rays. xthumbsupx

Same here. I kept waiting to see him pop up in the on deck circle.

When it was in Chicago in 2003, the Sox faithful booed Jerry manuel, then manager, Kerry Wood and Mark Prior...Chris Berman ripped Sox fans for their lack of loyalty, and when he popped up in Chicago again, got his ass booed big time!

Even though it's an allstar game, rivalries never go away. xthumbsupx
