Wow! a score thread for the one and only game of the week was a classic between two determined teams and the first regular season spring football game since the 1890's. One for the ages.

I haven't missed the NFL but I sure have missed college football. Glad to have it back.

Found it...but the local station pre-empted it to broadcast an ATL Hawks game...and then aired the Football game @ 2:30 AM - DVR’d it, got up this morning & watched. Fun game.

xlolx you nailed it. The WAC got wacked. I am pretty sure Todd Whitten has never beaten a McNeese team as a head coach.

Considering that neither team had played in 400+ days and McNeese had not had spring 2020 or fall 2020 practices and the weather was in the mid-20's (thank God no snow or sleet!), but the two teams combined for only two turnovers.....Not too bad. FG kicking and special teams pretty decent. Plenty of things to work on, but not too bad. McNeese lacks depth in many positions and started many true and redshirt freshmen and also played WITHOUT A DEFENSIVE COORDINATOR and still pulled out a victory is just short of a miracle that McNeese, SW Louisiana, and McNeese fans needed desperately.

I think both teams played not only well but with heart. That is what I love about college football. My only criticism is Whitten's QB management might be a factor in them losing. Both teams did FCS proud.

I concur about Whitten's questionable use of QB. However, TSU QB Duncan had his chances in two OT's to make a difference and didn't get it done. The Cowboys defense was superb during the OT's, in my opinion. They were really putting pressure on Duncan.
