FLORENCE, S.C. – Presbyterian College sophomore Jimmy McCollum equaled the best round of his collegiate career, posting a three-under par 69 in the first round of the Raines Company Intercollegiate on Saturday. The Blue Hose tallied a 297 team total in the opening round, then trimmed that to 291 in the second round for a 588 total that has them in ninth place. The two-day, 54-hole event is being hosted by Francis Marion at the par-72, 7062-yard Country Club of South Carolina in Florence.
