Always nice to get some perspective on what the future of FCS, the playoffs could look like as these new leagues come onboard.

12 at-larges and 12 AQs for '22 are likely if all things shape out the way we think they will.

I hope they stay at 24 if there's 12 autobids awarded. It's not like that many more teams were added... just more conferences. We already tend to scrape the fringe of the top 25 with the final few at-larges and I doubt that'll change all that much with the ASUN and WAC getting autobids. Obviously if the MEAC comes back into the fold looking for an autobid things would have to be re-evaluated since I'm fairly certain it's an NCAA rule that championship tournaments must be at least 50 percent filled with at-large teams (this spring being a one-time exception).
