RICHMOND, Va. -- Sidelined from competition due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Richmond men's golf team excelled in the classroom last semester, posting the highest combined GPA for any Spiders team on record. The nine members of the team -- Lou Baker, Michael Baker, Alex Campbell, Michael Childress, Garrett Clark, Carter Cook, Ben Cooper, Andrew McInerney, and Will Tamplin -- registered a combined GPA of 3.80 on a 4.00 scale in the fall, believed to be the best ever for any Spiders varsity team in a regular-graded term.
