LEXINGTON, Va. - The VMI basketball team continues its busiest stretch of the 2020-21 season playing four games over an eight day stretch that began Tuesday when the Keydets dispatched Greensboro College 100-65. The Keydets begin their Southern Conference schedule Thursday evening by entertaining Mercer in a 7 pm tip at Cameron Hall. VMI closes out the homestand with a Sunday afternoon matchup with Hampton University in the Keydet Classic followed by a December 15 home game against Campbellsville-Harrodburg. For the second straight year, VMI will be playing in the first league game of the Southern Conference schedule when it faces Mercer Thursday night. Last year, VMI traveled to UNCG to open up conference play on November 24, 2019.
