We were having a little celebration over at Bisonville and SDSUfans.com, because a few minutes ago marked the beginning of July 1, 2007, indicating the first day of North Dakota State and South Dakota State becoming full official members of the Summit League!!!
I just wanted to pass on this news, because this marks the end of independent purgatory for both schools.
Congrats to us!!!xthumbsupx xthumbsupx xthumbsupx

Read an article where they stated that the Summit League is making all sorts of commitments to improving the state of the conference...that's great!
Read the same article where it said the Summit League continually gets calls from others who want in. Of course they do, they pretty much have gathered up all the independent schools over the year...UT-Pan Am and others want in!

Summit league may also grab up the great west football and making it a summit sport. would be good for the schools who don't really have anywhere to play.

Are there articles out there to confirm this?
Where would this leave Western Illinois?

There was talk but it is now dead since NDSU and SDSU got in the Gateway.
