CEDAR CITY, Utah - When Southern Utah joined the Big Sky Conference ahead of the 2012-13 athletic season, it didn't take long for them to win a championship. The 2013-14 women's basketball team won 23 games that season and took home a share of the regular season championship with a 15-5 conference record. The team was driven by a core group of upperclassmen that included current women's basketball assistant coach Hailey Mandelko.
