Yay, can’t wait to see a MEAC team get in over a deserving school from a good conference only to get blown out.

Kinda like that 55-10 loss to Jax State? Or maybe that 65-10 loss to James Madison? Or even that 55-13 loss to NDSU?xeyebrowx

Sam Houston is on probation anyway so why does it matter.

If Florida A&M had been eligible for post-season play in 2019, they would have gone to the Celebration Bowl. North Carolina A&T in second almost certainly would have gotten an at-large bid to the playoffs and, IMO, been a solid favorite in their first round game and a very dangerous opponent for one of the lower seeds in the second round.

You must have the wrong “Sam Houston”... plenty of Southland schools on probation but this isn’t one of them.

Oh yeah, kind of like in 2015 against Richmond? xlolx

The last time the MEAC won a playoff game, Clinton was in office. Why do we keep inviting them to the dance?

That was 2016. We have no autobid so not understanding your complaints. We have one for the Spring

With that being said I guess we can agree no Celebration Bowl Game in May. Will the SWAC follow suit and send their champion to the FCS playoffs as well?

Impossible as the fcs playoffs start prior to The SCG.

I think this is good. Let the MEAC teams flex their playoff muscles.

The MEAC originally scheduled their championship game for the same weekend as the SWAC, anticipating a potential Celebration Bowl.

The MEAC changed theirs given the lack of a Celebration Bowl. The SWAC certainly had the opportunity to do the same.

SWAC stakeholders/fans have no interest in “fcs playoffs;” therefore, there was no need to adjust any plans to accommodate an unimportant entity.

The SWAC navigates its own path.

They plan on particpating in the playoffs games during covid. That already has record low attendance under normal circumstances. Well social distancing shouldn't be any concern. So this helps them financially how again? Btw, how's that going to work without an automatic bid? Smh...

Winner of the MEAC title game goes to the playoffs. There is no financial concern beacase the champ will be on the road and NCAA pays all travel.

A chance for the champ to continue it's season

Not to mention with limited ticket sales available there will probably be no bidding needed for home games in this abbreviated playoff tournament. The MEAC is playing with house money, if FAMU, A&T or SCSU wins the MEAC they'll more than likely be seeded 9th and be playing on the road against another auto conference bid champion. I don't think the PL will participate in playoffs in the spring just have their 6 conference games and declare a league champion if they continue with plans for a spring season.
