Thoughts?

If thats the way they feel then thats the way they feel. But they didnt say what they would do if the powers that be determine that the season is a go.
I think this is still a very fluid situation and decisions could change with more information as time goes on.

You really think it's just Idaho? Probably a third of these kids dont want to play and are only doing so to keep from losing their scholarships. Its why I have so much respect for the hbcu's and Ivy's for not forcing their kids to have to make that choice.

I'd take it with a grain of salt...

According to their win loss record I'm not sure they've been "playing" for years.......:D

Players who don't want to play shouldn't have to play. On the other hand, this may be many players last chance to play organized football, and those who chose to do so should be given an opportunity if it can be done safely. Teams aren't going to bring back all their 6th year seniors and a full slate of HS recruits. If football isn't played this fall, it probably won't be played in the spring, either. It takes time to manufacture, distribute and administer 600,000,000 doses of vaccine (it is expected that a vaccine will need to be given in 2, if not 3, divided doses).

I agree that teams aren't going to bring back all 6th year seniors. I would go on to say they will only bring back those who are starters, those who were ST'ers not a kicker, punter or LS will be asked to take a reduced scholarship or have all their athletic aid pulled and either pay to play or forced to transfer.

The truth still stands. 9 athletes tested positive.

...
Players talked to Stadium on the condition of anonymity because they said they feared being cut from the team and/or losing their scholarships if they were identified.
...

Well, DUH!!!!
If a player does not want to play then said player should not be on the team and should not have a scholarship,.

I also would not be surprised if this report is very misleading.

Some kids want to play, some are afraid of the unknown long-term effects of the virus. You won't get a consensus on this on ANY team.

I heard, because of the way it works on your blood vessels, that it makes your penis much larger.
