Great pickup for the Colonials. At least NEC hasn't restricted anything just yet... xcoffeex

Hawaii just extended its quarantine / out-of-state travel ban until September 1st.

Yes, but RMU is an Independent this season

Nice game for the Colonials, but I doubt this game is actually played. Good for them for getting a contract, but many circumstances can change between now and then.

If this game is played which at the current moment is less than 50% chance of it happening, it's a great move by RMU, secure a check, send players on a wonderful trip some place most would never get to go and piss the other NEC schools off even more because they can't play any games.

Is RMU considerable a countable game for Hawaii's bowl purposes?

My gut is that this will be a year where the NCAA gives teams and athletes a LOT of rope and leeway when it comes to rules compliance...

There might not even be bowls.

If RMU was the only choice I’m sure the NCAA will let Hawaii count it toward bowl eligibility. If FBS teams can only find FCS teams for OOC games right now, they won’t have much of a choice.

My heart hopes this is true, my head remembers what a corrupt, back asswards organization the NCAA is xsmhx

Will there even be a definition for bowl eligibility? Go 4-4 and you qualify? Who knows. And slim to no chance that the majority of these dinky bowl games get played. After all, so many of them are held in states that are high risk.

When DFW asks a question, the NCAA takes notice!
