"Former University of Delaware tight end Ben Patrick has agreed to terms with the Arizona Cardinals and will sign a contract today, he said Monday.
Patrick was the Cardinals seventh-round pick (215th overall) in April's National Football League draft. He'll become the first draft pick to sign with the team. The Cardinals said it is a three-year deal. Terms were not disclosed, and Patrick said details were being finalized.
"I wanted to show my commitment to the Cardinals," Patrick said. "I'm very grateful for the opportunity the Cardinals have given me."
