Former Withrow and Woodward High School standout football player Daniel Ingram has changed his mind regarding his future.

Ingram, who signed a national letter of intent in February to play for Luke Fickell and the University of Cincinnati, announced via Twitter Friday night that he instead will attend the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, a Historically Black University.

I always thoroughly enjoyed myself when I visited there. Very friendly and welcoming people, for the most part. They have a decently good stadium, as well.

Looks like a nice venue to me. Better than several in the SoCon. Not a 1/2-a-Stadium (CIT), no track around it (VMI), doesn’t look high schoolish (Samford & Wofford).

Do preferred walk-ons sign on signing day?Technically, preferred walk-ons don’t have anything to sign on Signing Day, as they aren’t receiving an athletic scholarship. However, walk-ons are an essential part of a successful team, and college coaches want to celebrate their signing, as well. Ask your future coach about having something to sign, especially if your school is throwing a Signing day party. Don’t forget to rep your new school with some gear!

That and he’s probably getting at least a partial scholarship. If he can make the 2 deep roster and perhaps start at QB, he’s going to get bumped up to a full ride on the athletic side.
