It's been a little boring around the NFL over the last month or so. Lots of off-the-field crappola going on, but not much to sink your football teeth into. Here's my attempt to stir things up. It's the first MMQB Quarterback Ratings.

It's show and prove time for Romo. This is his first full season and all eyes are on him. Especially when you look at his play the last few weeks of the season in '06.

Agreed. If Brady had even half the talent at WR that Manning does that comeback in the AFC Championship wouldnt have happened, thus eliminating King's reasoning for Manning over Brady.

Now that Brady will finally have a WR group that will rival what Manning has it will be interesting to see how the two stack up.

Funny since of the two Brady earned his spot by playing tough winning football when he had a shot, while Manning was drafted and handed the keys to the car immediatly.

And turned a 1-15 team into a Superbowl winning one. True, it wasn't all by himself, but he played a huge part in it. Manning probably spends twice as much time in the film room as Brady, which is largely what sets him apart from other QBs in the league, and why it's so hard for defenses to stop him. Brady is in it for the money and the playboy lifestyle, and he just happened to be paired with a genius of a coach and an outstanding defense.

It took him 9 years to get to the SB let alone winning it.... Brady took a 6-10 team to the super bowl in his 1st season playing... and oh ya in that first season beat Manning twice by a combined 82-30

Ok, make the case that Brady is a better pure quarterback, not just one who has more sb rings. If you make the argument that rings alone make a quarterback great, then Trent Dilfer would be a better qb than Marino.

What happened to defense winning championships? All quarterbacks are given far too much credit for winnng Superbowls, it takes a tremendous team effort to pull it off. And if I remember correctly, Deon Branch and Troy Brown were pretty good receivers.

Super Bowl XXXVIII was hardly a defensive game. Not every game is won with defense.

Brown in 2001 was the only WR that could compare to what Manning had. After that with him playing on defense a lot it took away from his offensive side of the game.

Don't get me wrong, Brady is a great QB and a great leader, and I'll admit that he's cooler under pressure, but right now I give Manning the slight edge as the better overall QB, now that he has the combination of incredible numbers and a super bowl ring. And again, you have to give a lot of the credit to his defense with the way they stepped up in the playoffs.

Do I have to start with all the passing records he already holds? Regular season numbers aren't everything, but they are a good indication of how talented and accurate of a passer he is. Again, Super Bowl rings aren't everything, Trent Dilfer isn't a better QB than Dan Marino. Robbert Horry has 7 NBA championships, does that mean he's almost as good as Bill Russell? Of course not, he shows up and makes big shots in the playoffs, and that's about it. If we're talking about the most clutch QB right now, that of course goes to Brady, but as far as overall talent and skill, that goes to Manning. To me, he didn't need to win a SB to be considered one of the best QBs ever, but it will go a long way in silencing his haters.

You have to remember this list is ranking how the QBs will do in 2007. Manning is 1 game removed from beating Brady so he should get the nod.

So... the fact that Brady has restructured his contract numerous times (including taking a pay cut the first time) shows that he is in it for the money??? No, it shows he is in it to win... and also, have you seen how many commercials manning has done... and he is not in it for the money??? Sureee
